The project of the Ukrainian scouts "Plastuni: the way to a sustainable future - the development of ecological awareness and community spirit" was successfully completed.
The aim is to develop young people's critical thinking skills by engaging them in hands-on activities that lead to better understanding
global problems (climate change, social inequality, etc.), teaches responsible consumption and other sustainability competencies.
Main activities: educational programs, nature camps, lectures, practical workshops (e.g.: creativity from secondary raw materials), movie nights, testing available knowledge, various activities that encourage young people to contribute to nature conservation and responsible behavior.
Participant engagement:
The goal is to raise awareness of global challenges and encourage participation in solving sustainability issues.
· Young people are encouraged to be actively involved in local community activities and decision-making.
· Involvement in the activities of various target groups (youth, Ukrainian community members, scouts).
Project implementation:
· It will be aimed to ensure that all (especially less sensitive to global challenges) participants become active participants in the project.
· Social and ecological responsibility will be promoted.
· Will be involved in specific important societal changes.

The camp immersed the participants in the atmosphere of the movie "Hunger Games".
Relief: A week for adventure and friendship
On July 7-11, thanks to the invitation of Šiauliai Scout, we participated in the camp "Lingering".
It was a unique adventure inspired by the Avatar world. The most pleasant moments were given by a cohabitation with scouts from Ukraine - we became one big family a week.
The days of friendship, challenges and joy
For the second year in a row, a group of "fighting kittens" and a group of "Black Cats" went into the wisdom of the newcomer law and the Scout Act, examining all 14 points.

Today, Šiauliai Company Plasta newcomers from the group "Fighting kittens" and junior scouts from the "Black Cat" friends went to a unique hike in Lithuania's swamps - we covered more than 7 kilometers!
