Ukrainian folk song ensemble 'Lastyvočki'
Lastyvochki ensemble is a great example of how to successfully integrate into society while walking along the path of art and creative.
For a greater extent, this is the success story of the leader of the team, Ukrainian theater and film actress Olena Lastivka. She was the restless soul that was concerned with preserving and promoting Ukrainian culture in Lithuania.
From the first days of forced movements to Šiauliai, Olena has been looking for ways to introduce Lithuania to Ukrainian traditions. This is how the idea of creating a Ukrainian folk song ensemble "Lastyvochki" was born. Olena invited Ukrainians to join the team just on the street, inspiring them to participate in cultural life and foster their native national traditions.
For several years now, Ukrainian people have been choosing to sing folk songs, create, communicate and support each other. Warm meetings in the circle of compatriots help to overcome loneliness and give strength.
The ensemble quickly became a noticeable part of Šiauliai cultural life. He was increasingly invited to appear in both the city and the Lithuanian scenes. There are several dozen concerts and confidence with a variety of viewers.
The singers, actively supported by Ukrainian communities and Lithuanian sponsors, dressed in national costumes and footwear for performances.
Theater art studio
The UIC Malva premises have a theater art studio, which is also directed by theater and film actress Olena Lastivka.
During classes, children, young people learn to express emotions, speak clearly, play in misconduct, learn monologues and dialogues, and read poems.
The friendly atmosphere of the studio, a warm, competent leadership for children helps to discover their talents, to free their creative powers, and teaches to overcome fear and shyness.
The young actors of Art Studio have been participating in small and mass events and various celebrations many times.
Seniors Club
In the center of the center, meetings of the Ukrainian Seniors Club are held every week. Its members communicate, sing, participate in a creative handicraft production workshop, enriching their cultural and spiritual world.
By conveying the unique soul of the Ukrainian song and the nation, the Seniors Club has repeatedly performed in various spaces of Šiauliai.
Many seniors survive difficult days, many of them lost not only their homeland but also home, relatives and friends in Ukraine. Here, in the club, seniors find the warmth, support and the ability of communication and the opportunity to keep up with the national traditions that help to survive ancestral strengths.
The creative joints of the club with Lithuanian seniors are often organized, which encourage mutual understanding and the cultural friendship of two nations.
