Today, 20 Ukrainians who responded to the invitation of "Malva" had a bird's eye view of autumn. This opportunity arose after climbing the 70-meter tower of Šiauliai Cathedral.
The yellow-colored city, the blue-eyed Lake Talkša, the intersecting main streets, the roofs of the houses appeared on the palm of your hand... In the distance, Zokniai and even a few airplanes were waving.
The biggest impression was made by the Cathedral carillon, which consists of as many as 36 bells. The old church bells in 1936. were taken to Russia and melted down. Only one survived, which was excavated in the territory of the Cathedral in 1971. (unfortunately, this bell does not ring yet).
Thanks to Jurgita, the guide who accompanied the excursionists, and the carillon that rang meaningfully.
The nostalgic mood was enhanced by an organ concert.
We organize our activities according to the project "Reception and early integration of refugees from Ukraine" financed by the Šiauliai city municipality administration.
