On this sad but meaningful occasion, the hall of the "Laiptų galerija" Culture Center was packed. Lithuanians and Ukrainians gathered to make it clear once again that Ukraine is not alone.
The sensitive and meaningful concert that lasted one and a half hours became a testimony of fellowship, memory and strength.
The event was crowned by the lighting of memorial candles at a special easel - an installation with a picture injured by gunshots.
There was a spirit of unity and support in the hall. It proved once again: united and supporting each other, we can do a lot.
Šiauliai City Vice Mayor Justinas Švėgžda emphasized that although today's generation in Lithuania has not directly experienced what it means to lose loved ones, to see destroyed homes or to live without electricity and heat in winter, Lithuania expresses its support for Ukraine in every possible way - both in words and in deeds.
