VYŠYVANKA'S DAY IN VILNIUS - VOICES THAT UNITED
2026-05-28
May 23 A special event - "Vyshyvanka Choir 2026" took place in Vilnius Town Hall Square, which brought together hundreds of Ukrainian and Lithuanian choristers for common song, friendship and support for Ukraine.
The inspiration for the event was the Lithuanian tradition of the Song Festival - a lively multi-vocal dance in which culture, memory and people's feelings intertwine.
We are very happy that the Lastivočki choir of UIC "Malva" led by Olena Lastivka also participated in this huge joint choir.
It wasn't just a concert. Ukrainian vyshyvankas, Lithuanian hospitality, music, song, dance created a common space full of sensitivity, dignity and unity.
We sincerely thank Maryna Pylypenko, the initiator of the event, all the organizers, choir directors and participants for the extraordinary atmosphere, which many will remember for a long time.
We are proud to be a part of this history.
A special thanks to "baldai.lt" - it was thanks to their financial support that our ensemble could come from Šiauliai to Vilnius and become part of this beautiful celebration.
