JAV vyriausybė skyrė 1,56 milijono paramą organizacijoms, remiančioms Ukrainos pabėgėlius Lietuvoje. Smagu, kad tarp išrinktųjų organizacijų buvo ir „Malva”. Projektas skirtas metams. Laukia daug darbų, daug įvairių veiklų.

The project is financed by the US Embassy in Vilnius

Tamir Waser, a temporary trustee of the US Embassy in Lithuania, reported that US Embassy in Lithuania granted nine grants (the total amount exceeding $ 1.5 million) to civil society organizations providing assistance to Ukrainians all over Lithuania. This is the largest support of the US government for Ukrainian refugees in Lithuania.
"These organizations have done incredible work since the early days of the war to support those who have fled from Ukraine and live in their communities. These grants will help ensure that vital work is continued," - said Tamir Waser.

Among the 9 Lithuanian organizations, which received funding, is the Šiauliai Ukrainian integration center Malva, which has prepared a comprehensive project.
The UIC "Malva" project will aim to provide Ukrainian war refugees with the missing services necessary to cope with the consequences of losses, live in a quality new living environment and integrate into it. In cooperation with local public and state organizations, mobilizing both the local and the refugee community, refugees of all age groups will be provided with the necessary psychological, educational, cognitive and counseling services.
The project is intended for war refugees in Ukraine of various ages - both children and adults.

The newly formed diaspora aims to organize activities that will unite Ukrainians from different regions of Ukraine, a sense of security, necessity, and help to successfully integrate in a new environment.
The project enables refugees to learn, get psychological and consulting assistance, and express themselves through creativity. Because refugees often have minimal financial capabilities, there is a high need for free services.
Adults are hosted by a creative team and children are invited to participate in music, drama self -expression and ethnic culture.
In active cooperation with urban organizations and exploiting the creative potential of refugees, the joint celebrations and events of Lithuanian and Ukrainian citizens are organized, allowing the locals to get acquainted with Ukrainian culture, publicly expressing support and encouraging closer relationships.
The Ukrainians who survived the war suffered a major injury. Because many immigrants have serious psychological problems, they need psychotherapeutic sessions led by refugees in a language understandable.
The exclusivity and strength of the project is that it is possible to involve Ukrainian residents who can respond to the needs of refugees. The double effect "Ukrainian - the Ukrainian" has the opportunity to earn a living, successfully unites interest groups and effectively provides the necessary assistance.
The project activities will be carried out for one year, but the planned activities are long -term and permanent.
