We sincerely thank Olena Lastivka, theater and film actress, leader of the Ukrainian folklore ensemble "Lastivočki" - for fostering Ukrainian culture, songs and wonderful moments of the celebration. We thank Vladislav Mudriy, members of the club "Light", the organization "Plast in Lithuania"to the members, our friends SPIDERS of Šiauliai and to everyone who was with UIC Malva that night.
We say a big THANK YOU to all organizations, our partners and friends of "Malva" who contributed to the celebration and were there. And, of course, special thanks to our volunteers. To the people whose hands, time, energy and kindness keep our center alive every day.
This evening reminded once again that the Independence of Ukraine today is not just a date in history. It is fought for every day. It is defended at the front, protected in the hearts of Ukrainians and strengthened wherever Ukrainian songs are played, our culture is nurtured and people gather to support Ukraine.
During the celebration, we also collected EUR 158.10. These funds will be used to make dry shower equipment for Ukrainian soldiers. Therefore, the warmth of our evening will turn into concrete help for those who today defend the freedom of Ukraine and its right to be an independent state. Thanks to everyone who was there. Thank you for the wonderful atmosphere, songs, support, help and unity.
As long as we are together, as long as we protect our culture and help those who are fighting, Ukraine is and will be free.
Happy Independence Day, Ukraine!
