The last day of Shrove Tuesday (Užgavėnės) is one of the funnest and most archaic Lithuanian village holidays, preserving ancient traditions of agrarian magic, marking the last day of the winter solstice and the coming year.

We will be waiting for you on March 4 from 6:00 p.m Manor "Jelyuko Maluno" (Architekto g. 73) with masks (in ancient times it was believed that during the year only the one who remains unrecognizable under the mask will be truly happy) and a good mood, and the hostesses of the museum will treat all the masqueraders with delicious pancakes.

They will not allow you to freeze and will create a festive mood:

  • Chapel "Pavakarys";
  • Folk ensemble: "Squirrel", "Margulis", "Nestantys širdimi" i "Violė";
  • Folk Ensemble "Swallows" ICU "Malva".

In the program:

  • 18.00-20.00 – a warm fire, delicious pancakes and tea, music and dances with songs.
  • 19.00 - a meeting with "Terribly beautiful Sea".
  • 19.30 - see off the "Terribly beautiful Sea" (lit.: MORĖ) into oblivion.
