While the sun is still smiling and the trees are decorated in all colors - from bright red to rich yellow - it is simply impossible to stay at home!
Ukrainian Integration Center "Malva" helps refugees from Ukraine to integrate into Lithuanian society. Most of the visitors are seniors whose financial situation is complicated due to their age, language barrier and health problems.
After arriving in Lithuania, they have to look for a place to live, multifaceted help related to daily needs (food, clothes, hygiene items, medicines). A large number of elderly people no longer have their personal assets and savings, and the remaining relatives, due to the situation of the war in Ukraine, also do not have the opportunity to support them and thus improve the financial well-being of the elderly.
The center helps to search for and find work, a place to live, educational institutions, and points in the right direction when seeking help and solving health-related problems. Malva devotes a lot of time to seniors affected by the war, organizes psychological support, conducts or offers various art and yoga therapy. The center helps seniors remaining in Ukraine with food, medicines, clothes and things. It also carries out various individual and community activities that help refugees from the war feel safe in their environment and live a fulfilling life.
Objectives of this project:
– Provide social and material assistance;
– Consult on educational issues;
– To help maintain CULTURAL SPECIFICITY and traditions;
– To help get to know the Baltic countries and their traditions;
- Let's give Ukrainian seniors and poor people the opportunity to integrate INTO SOCIETY.
